Hiring range: $55,000 - $60,000

About this Position

This position manages labor market data analysis, reporting, research, and mapping to help position
Partner4Work as a regional thought leader and support data-driven decision-making for workforce
development programs. This position initiates, champions, and drives new analytical projects across
teams to identify workforce challenges and provide insights to key stakeholders to fuel improvement of
the public workforce system in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The right candidate will be curious, bring
economics and data analytics expertise, and have experience creating clear reports for multiple
stakeholder groups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Develop and implement labor market information reporting portfolios that serve internal and
external stakeholders and meet the goals of the Policy and Data Team.
● Proactively communicate across teams, functions, and roles to increase shared understanding of
project developments and responsibilities.
● Ensure analyses produced by the Policy and Data Team provide actionable insights for end users.
● Collaborate with Policy staff to provide tailored, high quality data products to legislators and
partners as evidence for policy and advocacy efforts.
● Support the Communications team’s efforts to promote Partner4Work’s data and research
capabilities as well as evidence-based reporting for use in special initiatives.

● Collaborate with Data and Program Team staff to provide actionable labor market analysis and
contextualize Partner4Work workforce development program data within the broader context of
the regional labor market
● Lead the planning and implementation of a regularly scheduled LMI webinar for internal and
external audiences.
● Ensure polished delivery of reporting, prioritizing end user experience.
P4W Ambassador
● Contributes to the development of a supportive and collaborative work environment through
active participation in internal collaborations, team, and activities.
● Provides a high level of customer service for existing and prospective program partners through
transparent, accessible, and open dialogue about the organization’s strategy and prospective
projects.

Skills and Qualifications

● Knowledge of research methodologies, basic inferential statistics and spatial statistics, and
programming.
● Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) is preferred.
● Ability to drive projects across teams, amidst competing priorities.
● Ability to identify challenges and propose both short-term and long-term solutions.
● Excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
● Must be detail oriented and highly organized with strong analytical skills.
● Able and open to learn new systems and technical processes quickly.
● Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
● Must be able to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects on tight timelines.
● Ability to relate to people of diverse educational and cultural backgrounds as well as government
agencies, public officials and all levels of management.
Education/Professional Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences,
Statistics, Economics or a related field with 3 or more years of experience in analytical roles. Or, any
combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable.
