EARN Partnership Success Story - Family Links

Family Links has proudly served individuals throughout Western Pennsylvania for over 65 years. Their mission is to positively impact lives through integrated, personalized, and family-centered community-based behavioral and social programs. Family Links aspires to build strong foundations for lives full of hope, health, and independence. They provide services for  more than 8,000 individuals each year, many of whom are struggling with addictions, learning to cope with the challenges presented by mental and/or physical disabilities, while simultaneously striving to maintain their independence. 

The Family Links Human Resource Director maintains a strong interest in continuing to partner with EDSI Allegheny EARN and Work Ready programs.  An on-the-job training contract is in development between EDSI and Family Links. They are also eager to participate in EDSI’s virtual biweekly Employer Information Sessions. During these  sessions Family Links and other employers in the community are able to interact directly with job seekers and provide detailed information about available positions.

EDSI Allegheny EARN and Work Ready program participants have recently found success with Family Links, as two of them were  hired by the organization. As an employer, Family Links pays higher than minimum wage and offers their employees a full benefits package.  They currently employ 350 individuals  at their six locations in and around the Pittsburgh area. 

EDSI has  developed a strong partnership with Family Links. We’ll continue to build on the partnership by supporting talent attraction.  Family Links and EDSI share a commitment to positively impacting lives and finding creative solutions to better serve our communities.
