PIT2Work’s First Year: Empowering Careers and Strengthening the Workforce
Partner4Work proudly supports PIT2Work, an innovative pre-apprenticeship program launched in partnership with Pittsburgh International Airport. Now celebrating its one-year anniversary, PIT2Work has helped over 80 participants gain critical skills, industry certifications, and entry into high-demand careers in the trades.
In just five weeks, program graduates earn a range of essential qualifications—from OSHA 10-Hour safety training to PennDOT Flagger certification—preparing them for life-changing opportunities with local trade unions. PIT2Work graduates are actively shaping Pittsburgh’s future, including working on the new PIT terminal site.
As our CEO Rob Cherry shared, “This is life-changing work. When you see what people are doing now, they’ve changed their lives through this program, and we’re proud to support them every step of the way.”
