Partner4Work, the premiere workforce development organization serving Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh, proudly announces the promotion of Susie Puskar to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Susie will play a pivotal role in advancing Partner4Work's mission to connect job seekers and employers, ensuring the efficient and equitable delivery of workforce development programs and services across the region. Her promotion was announced to the Partner4Work Board of Directors on March 29, 2024.

Robert Cherry, the CEO of the Pittsburgh region’s workforce development agency, has been appointed by the U.S. Department of Labor to chair a national committee.

The U.S. Department of Labor today announced Rob Cherry to chair the 30-members Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship to advise the Secretary of Labor on issues related to the national apprenticeship system. Through their work on the committee, members will leverage their knowledge and experience to provide advice and recommendations on ways to use the apprenticeship training model to improve equitable access to career pathways for America’s workers and jobseekers.

PITTSBURGH – County Executive Sara Innamorato, Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey, and other speakers kicked off the 10th anniversary of the Learn & Earn summer youth employment program with a call to action to the region’s business community to get involved. The announcement came as the Learn & Earn Summer Youth Employment Program accepts applications for this year’s program, until June 7.

In an unprecedented collaboration, Partner4Work (P4W) and Neighborhood Learning Alliance (NLA), have joined forces with renowned leadership training organization, Dale Carnegie, and community-focused financial institution, Dollar Bank, to launch an innovative initiative aimed at transforming the lives of underserved teenagers in Pittsburgh.
