With Industry Recognized Training Pipeline (IRTP), PA CareerLink® and local training providers are partnering together to help individuals gain the skills that local employers are looking to hire.

Qualifying individuals can receive a grant to participate in a short-term training that supports one of the following high-priority industries:
  • Construction
  • Financial Services
  • Healthcare
  • Information Technology
  • Transportation and Logistics

Class A CDL Prepatory

This Class A CDL Prepatory program guides and prepares students for the Class A Commercial Driver's License Test and helps students find entry-level employment in the transportation industry.

IT Registered Apprenticeships

Fortyx80 intends to bridge the gap between this untapped pool of talent and employers’ need for a highly skilled workforce through establishment of Apprenti PGH – Pittsburgh’s IT apprenticeship program. Working with local employers and a variety of training partners Fortyx80 will train participants in the skills and knowledge needed in the job market today.

Tech Elevator offers a full-time coding boot camp that teaches programming in Java and .NET. Individuals from the community with little to no programming experience develop skills needed to become junior developers by the end of the program.

Freedom House 2.0

This training focuses on traditional emergency medical services (EMS) and on equipping first responders to help address critical, non-emergency psychosocial needs that comprise a significant portion of 911 calls.. Successful graduates will be guaranteed an interview with UPMC and other job placement support.
